Music

Jimmy and the British Invasion’ is built around an incredible, evocative soundtrack, which brings the era crashing into the modern day.

In addition to a large amount of incidental 1960s style pop music, the film also features originally composed songs, directly inspired by and in the style of the period in which the story is set.
‘Changes’ is written, directed and
orchestrated, as the soundtrack of the film, by Allison Hazan, along with songwriter Michael Berg.

As good as the first single, the second "The Other Tomorrow" is a song that builds upon the foundation set by its predecessor, "Changes."

Working closely with my co-songwriter, we dedicated considerable effort to perfecting this title.

In the eleventh hour, we decided to introduce backing vocals to enhance its overall appeal.

Drawing inspiration from timeless classics like the Rolling Stones' "Time is on My Side," The Cascades' "Rhythm of the Rain," and the Beatles' "If I Fell," we aimed to capture the essence of 1963, the era from which the song's title originates.

It was essential to establish a musical backdrop that transported listeners back to the early '60s, preceding the accident that thrust Jimmy into that era.

Introducing Allison Hazan, the creative force behind the screenplay

of "Jimmy and the British Invasion."

With an imaginative mind, I envisioned and crafted the story, its vibrant universe, and its endearing characters.

Every dialogue and element in the script was carefully crafted to make "Jimmy and the British Invasion" a truly unique and unpublished masterpiece.

I had the privilege of receiving valuable advice from Mick Collins, a professional screenwriter with an impressive portfolio spanning BBC, RTE, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and more.

Not only did I write the screenplay, but I also ventured into the world of music.

Teaming up with Michael Berg, we penned the lyrics for the film's songs, which were beautifully composed with nostalgic 60's tunes.

I meticulously orchestrated and refined the songs to capture the essence of that era.

Additionally, I have been working on an album that will feature the film's songs, along with other unreleased tracks.

The storyboard animations and video clips showcased on this platform were meticulously created by myself, demonstrating my dedication to every aspect of the project.

Alongside me, I had the privilege of collaborating with extraordinary musicians:

  • such as drummer Fernando Perdomo, who has worked with renowned personalities and even produced a remake of a Paul McCartney solo album.

  • Not to be forgotten is the exceptional guitar and bass playing by Rick Matz, a skilled musician specializing in retro rock 'n' roll from the fabulous 60s era.

  • To bring the songs to life, the talented Todd Edwards, who has worked with legends like The Four Tops, provided remarkable vocals.

  • Adding to the authenticity, George Jenkins, from Liverpool singer known for his professional Beatles tribute, lent his backing vocals.

  • The distinctive sound of the Hammond organ was skillfully played by Abel Boquera, completing the incredible musical collaboration.

In summary, my involvement encompasses the remarkable screenplay of "Jimmy and the British Invasion,"

a collection of meticulously crafted songs, captivating storyboard animations and the collaboration with extraordinary musicians.
Together, we have created a project that truly captures the spirit of the 60s, and I am excited to share this creative endeavor with the world.
